A teenager could face jail after trying to impress a girl with a home-made horror movie showing him butchering a mouse. Andre Yankey, 19, filmed himself using a power tool to slice the animal open and drill into its eye. Yankey sent the film to a friend, who was so traumatised by what she saw that she immediately called the RSCPA. The teenager, who claims he made the video when he was just 16, admitted causing unnecessary suffering to a protected (domesticated) animal at Westminster Magistrates’ Court this morning. Prosecutor Wendy Gutteridge warned the court of the graphic nature of the video, saying: 'Once seen, the video can't be unseen.'

'The video clearly shows Mr Yankey using a handheld grinder to purposely injure and torture a live mouse.' She said the gruesome one and a half minute clip shows Yankey at his home with a mouse he has caught on a humane glue trap. Ms Gutteridge continued: 'Mr Yankey is seen brandishing a handheld Dremel multi-tool, he faces the camera and explains how he is a mouse killer. 'He says: "Mice want to fucking coming into my house, they get terminated with the blade of doom".'

Visitors to one of France’s most beautiful tourist areas were today warned to be on their guard after a pack of feral cats launched an attack on a young woman. About six cats pounced on the unnamed dog owner as she walked her poodle in the city of Belfort, in the popular Franche-Comte region, on the Swiss border, dragging her to the ground and mauling her. She was bitten repeatedly and left with a torn artery which could have proved fatal, while the dog was also badly hurt. It is thought that particularly high summer temperatures may have made the cats far more aggressive than usual. Josette Galliot, the mother of the 31-year-old victim, said: "They jumped on her and managed to knock her over. "The feral cats bit her on the leg and on her arms. Three bodies have been found in plastic bags in East Cleveland, police said on Saturday. A woman's body was found on Friday in a garage and two other bodies were found on Saturday - one in a nearby backyard and the other in the basement of a vacant house. Police said the two bodies found on Saturday were also female but they do not yet know the identities of any of the victims or the cause of death. All of the women were black and each body was wrapped in four or five plastic bags. The bodies have been sent to the coroner's office. TOKYO — Police said Tuesday that a 36-year-old man killed his 63-year-old father at their home in Tokyo’s Toshima Ward, and then killed himself. According to police, the victim, who has been named as Kenji Suzuki was found stabbed at his home at aroun 10 p.m. Sunday. TBS reported that before he died, Suzuki told police that he had rebuked his son for not having found a job, following which his son stabbed him in the chest multiple times. Suzuki later died from his injuries. Police say a search was launched for Suzuki’s son, who could not be contacted. On Monday morning, a man matching his description was found dead outside a building in Ikebukuro, about 2.5 kilometers from the scene of the murder. Police believe the man took his own life by jumping from the roof of the building after murdering his father.

Mystery as 300 stingrays are found washed up on a Mexican beach

Mexican authorities are investigating the death of at least 300 stingrays found on a beach of the Gulf coast state of Veracruz. Residents and visitors first spotted the dead rays on Tuesday on the Chachalacas beach in the town of Ursulo Galvan and posted photos on social media. Ursulo Galvan Mayor Martin Verdejo says it's possible the stingrays could have been abandoned by fishermen after being trapped in their nets.

A trainee nun was kidnapped and gang raped for a week by three men in a suspected revenge attack, Indian media have reported. The 22-year-old was allegedly lured to a train station by her cousins and then held captive and raped over days because they blame her family for their father's murder. It is the latest in a series of appalling rape cases in India this year since a student was gang raped and died from her horrific injuries on a Delhi bus in December.

Mother and her three young boys killed crossing Philadelphia road... and they may have been hit by drag racers

A 27-year-old woman and three of her sons were killed as they crossed a busy road in Philadelphia last night. Police are investigating whether the driver who hit Samara Banks and her family had been drag racing at the time of the collision at about 10.30pm. Ms Banks, who was crossing the road with four of her children, was killed by the car, along with her 23-month-old son.

At least 22 Indian children killed and 25 are ill after eating school dinner 'made from unwashed ingredients covered in insecticide'

At least 22 children died and many others were sick after eating a free school lunch that was tainted by a heavy dose of insecticide, officials in India said today. It was not immediately clear how chemicals ended up in the food in a school in the eastern state of Bihar, although one official said the food may not have been properly washed before it was cooked. The children, between the ages of 8 and 11, fell ill yesterday soon after eating their school lunch in Masrakh, a village 50 miles north of the state capital of Patna.

When archaeologists opened an ancient grave at a highway construction site near Gliwice, Poland, they came across a scene from a horror movie: a suspected vampire burial. Interred in the ground were skeletal remains of humans whose severed heads rested upon their legs—an ancient Slavic burial practice for disposing of suspected vampires, in hopes that decapitated individuals wouldn't be able to rise from their tombs.
