Man jumps to death after fatally stabbing father

TOKYO — Police in Tokyo said that a 46-year-old man apparently jumped to his death after fatally stabbing his father at their condominium in Tokyo’s Koto Ward on Sunday morning. According to police, they received a call at about 3 a.m. Sunday from a 73-year-old woman reporting that her husband had been stabbed. TV Asahi reported that police arrived at the 27th-floor apartment of a 47-floor building in Toyosu and found the body of the woman’s 77-year-old husband on his bed. He had been stabbed in the chest. Police said he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. A bloody knife was found in the kitchen. At around the same time, police found the body of the couple’s 46-year-old son on a roof over the entranceway below. He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
